What kind of projects does the Fund give to

The Parks4Life Community Fund support community groups in bringing their parks to life and make the best of our parks for everyone to enjoy now and in the future. If your group has a project that you feel fits this aim we would welcome an application from you.

So if your group is looking for funding to put on event in the park be that a social event or focussed park clean then this fund can help groups meet the cost of these events. Alternatively, the fund can help groups with grants to make your group more sustainable, this could be through the purchase of tools and equipment or a drive to attract new members.

Who can apply for a Parks4Life Community Grant?

The Parks4Life Community Fund is open to any constituted community or Friends group, in Scotland, who are working to improve and bring life to their parks and greenspaces. All applying groups should have their own bank account.

How often are Parks4Life Community Grants given out?

The Parks4Life Community Fund will run annually, and we welcome applications from groups that have previously received a Parks4Life Community Fund grant

If successful when will we receive funding?

Expand

For grants up to £750 groups will receive funds once a grant offer has been accepted, grants over £750 may be given in two instalments.

We aim to make grant payments in June 2026 to enable groups to use funds over the summer months.

Can we apply for fund for costs for events we have already run?

No, grants are non-retrospective and non-transferable unless specifically agreed. If you have an event already planned to activate your park and a Parks4Life grant can help you deliver that event then you we would welcome your application.

How will grants be monitored?

Successful applicants should be able to provide information about the way in which funds have been used and the impact it has had for Parks4Life to use in promoting and communicating its work. Parks4Life will also be keen to work with groups to provide Case Studies of how the grants have been used.

How long will we have to spend the grant?

We expect the grant to spent within 6 months of acceptance, if your project timeline falls outside this please indicate in the Application Form and/or contact [email protected] to discuss further.
